Azaperol-D4

Azaperone-d4 is the deuterium labeled Azaperone. Azaperone (R-1929) acts as a dopamine antagonist but also has some antihistaminic and anticholinergic properties. Azaperone is a pyridinylpiperazine and butyrophenone neuroleptic agent with antiemetic effects, which is used mainly as a tranquilizer in veterinary medicine.Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process.
