LW1564 is a small molecule HIF-1α inhibitor (IC50=1.2 μM in HepG2 cells) that suppresses mitochondrial respiration and activates AMPK, leading to reduced cancer cell proliferation (GI50 0.4-4.6 μM) and antitumor efficacy in xenograft models. It is a useful research tool for studying hypoxia signaling, cancer metabolism, and lipid synthesis pathways in vitro and in vivo.
