Tolmesoxide (RX71107) is a peripheral vasodilator used in cardiovascular research to study hypertension and angina. It induces direct, dose-dependent vasodilation in human forearm arteries and dorsal hand veins, increasing blood flow. Its mechanism has been investigated in both in vivo and in vitro experimental models.
