Compound 1 is a broad-spectrum antimalarial agent active against multiple P. falciparum strains (IC50 0.5-13 μM) and demonstrates in vivo efficacy in a P. yoelii mouse model, while showing low cytotoxicity (IC50 >140 μM) in mammalian cells.
