YM-344031 is a potent and orally bioavailable CCR3 antagonist, inhibiting eotaxin-1 and RANTES binding with IC50 values of 3.0 and 16.3 nM, respectively. It blocks CCR3-mediated calcium flux, chemotaxis, and eosinophil shape change in vitro, and has demonstrated efficacy in preventing allergic skin reactions in murine models.
