A17 is a bile acid analog used in NASH research for its anti-inflammatory and anti-steatotic properties. It reduces fatty acid uptake via Cd36 suppression and promotes fatty acid oxidation through AMPKα activation, as demonstrated in in vitro and in vivo studies of metabolic liver disease.
