5-Dihydrocortisone
5β-Dihydrocortisone is a hepatic metabolite of cortisone generated by the enzyme AKR1D1. This sterol is used as a research standard in studies of steroid metabolism, reductase activity, and related metabolic pathways in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
