Oxalomalate trisodium salt is a cell-permeable inhibitor of aconitase and NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase. It has been shown to suppress iNOS protein expression and nitrite production in LPS-activated J774 macrophages, making it a useful tool for studying immunometabolism and inflammatory signaling pathways in vitro.
