LU-005i is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of the immunoproteasome subunit β5i (IC50 = 6.6 nM), showing >40-fold selectivity over the constitutive proteasome subunit β5c. This inhibitor is a valuable research tool for studying immunoproteasome function in autoimmune disease and cancer models, both in vitro and in vivo.
