3-Aminoisobutyric Acid sodium
3-Aminoisobutyric acid (BAIBA) is a thymine catabolite that induces adipocyte browning and increases UCP-1 expression in vitro. It enhances PPARα signaling and fatty acid oxidation, and in vivo studies show it reduces weight gain and improves glucose tolerance in mice. Its levels are elevated in β-ureidopropionase deficiency and following exercise.
