Monohydroxy Melphalan hydrochloride
Monohydroxy melphalan is a hydrolytic degradation product of the chemotherapeutic agent melphalan. This DNA alkylating agent forms DNA adducts and exhibits cytotoxic activity in vitro, such as in ML-1 leukemia cells, with an IC50 of 28.1 μg/ml. It is used in research to study alkylating agent metabolism, stability, and mechanisms of action.
