N-Oleoyl serinol is a synthetic ceramide analog used in stem cell research to enhance safety by selectively inducing apoptosis in residual pluripotent cells, thereby preventing teratoma formation. It supports the neural differentiation of embryoid body-derived cells in both in vitro and in vivo transplantation models.
