6 (S) -Lipoxin A4
Lipoxin A4 (LXA4) is a trihydroxy fatty acid with a conjugated tetraene structure, originally identified as a metabolite of 15-HETE in human leukocytes. It exists as several stereoisomers, including the 5 (S),6 (R) -LXA4 and 5 (S),6 (S) -LXA4 forms. This eicosanoid is studied in inflammation research for its pro-resolving activities in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
