LFHP-1c is a novel small molecule inhibitor of PGAM5 with demonstrated neuroprotective properties. It has been shown to preserve blood-brain barrier integrity in a rat model of transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO), making it a useful tool for studying ischemic stroke pathology.
