HDAC8-IN-4 is a potent and selective HDAC8 inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.15 μM, showing 80-fold selectivity over HDAC3. This compound is a valuable chemical probe for studying HDAC8 biology in vitro and is used in cancer research and investigations of Cornelia de Lange syndrome.
