6-Iodoamiloride is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of acid-sensing ion channels, demonstrating high potency against ASIC1 (IC50 = 88 nM) and ASIC3 (IC50 = 230 nM) . It is widely used in vitro and in vivo to investigate the role of ASICs in pain, ischemia, and neurological disorders.
