SRE-II

SRE-II is an activatable amide-based photosensitizer for photodynamic cancer research. It remains inert until cleaved by carboxylesterase, releasing the active SDU Red, which upon light irradiation induces DNA damage and apoptosis. This theranostic agent shows promise for in vitro and in vivo studies in triple-negative breast cancer models.
