PEX5-PEX14 PPI-IN-1 (Compound 8) is a small molecule inhibitor that disrupts the PEX5-PEX14 protein-protein interaction with a Ki of 53 μM. It exhibits antitrypanosomal activity against Trypanosoma brucei brucei bloodstream forms with an EC50 of 5 μM, making it a useful chemical probe for studying peroxisomal import and parasite biology in vitro.
