Pleurocidin
Pleurocidin is a host-defense peptide isolated from the skin mucus of the Winter Flounder, Pseudopleuronectes americanus. This cationic, amphipathic peptide exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and is widely used in research to study antimicrobial mechanisms and novel therapeutic strategies in both in vitro and in vivo models.
