Sp-Adenosine-5’-O- (1-thiodiphosphate) (Sp-ADP-α-S) is a potent phosphorylase kinase inhibitor (Ki=0.53 μM) . This research compound also acts as a platelet aggregator (EC50=20 μM in vitro) and induces smooth muscle relaxation in guinea pig tissue models (EC50=58.9 μM), making it useful for studying purinergic signaling and cellular regulation.
