SAG-524 is a potent oral small molecule inhibitor of HBV replication. In vitro studies using HepG2.2.15 cells demonstrated its activity, reducing supernatant HBV-DNA and HBsAg with IC50 values of 0.92 nM and 1.4 nM, respectively. This profile supports its investigation in antiviral research for hepatitis B.
