It serves as a key component in the design of SNIPERs (Specific and Non-genetic IAP-dependent Protein Erasers) when conjugated, via a linker, to the cIAP1 ligand Bestatin. This bifunctional molecule is a research tool for targeted protein degradation studies in cellular models.
