Lanepitant 2HCl is a selective, non-peptide antagonist of the neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor. It blocks Substance P binding, thereby inhibiting neurogenic inflammation and pain signaling. This compound is utilized in research on neuropathic pain mechanisms, including in vivo models of migraine and in vitro receptor binding assays.
