BIBP3226 is a selective small molecule antagonist for the Neuropeptide Y Y1 receptor (NPY Y1R) and the neuropeptide FF receptor (NPFFR) . It is widely used as a pharmacological tool in neuroscience research to investigate the roles of these receptors in feeding behavior, pain modulation, and emotional regulation, both in vitro and in vivo.
