Aldoifosfamide is the primary active metabolite of the anticancer prodrug ifosfamide, a nitrogen mustard alkylating agent. It is utilized in biochemical research to study the mechanisms of alkylation-induced DNA crosslinking and cytotoxicity in both in vitro cell cultures and in vivo cancer models.
