(±) 10 (11) -EpDPA is a bioactive epoxide metabolite of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) formed by cytochrome P450 enzymes. It is a substrate for soluble epoxide hydrolase (Km = 5.1 μM) and has been identified in mammalian tissues. Research indicates it exhibits antihyperalgesic properties in pain models and demonstrates anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor activity in vitro.
