(±) 13 (14) -EpDPA is a bioactive epoxide metabolite of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) formed by cytochrome P450. It exhibits potent antihyperalgesic effects in vivo against inflammatory and neuropathic pain and inhibits angiogenesis and tumor growth in vitro, serving as a preferred substrate for soluble epoxide hydrolase (Km=3.2 μM) .
