19R (20S) -EpDPA is a stereoselective cytochrome P450-derived metabolite of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) . This oxylipin, at nanomolar concentrations, inhibits calcium-induced increases in spontaneous beating in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes in vitro, indicating its relevance for cardiovascular research.
