12-oxo Leukotriene B4

12-Oxo Leukotriene B4 is a pro-inflammatory metabolite of LTB4 formed via the 12-hydroxydehydrogenase pathway. It is a key tool for studying the 5-lipoxygenase cascade and leukocyte activation, including neutrophil chemotaxis and calcium mobilization, in both in vitro and in vivo inflammation models. Its rapid conversion to less active dihydro metabolites is also a focus of eicosanoid inactivation research.
