Polysucrose 400 is a high-molecular-weight copolymer of sucrose and epichlorohydrin. It is widely used to form density gradients for the separation of cells, organelles, and viruses in vitro, and is also employed in studies of protein liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) .
