Combretastatin A-1 phosphate tetrasodium (OXi-4503) is a prodrug that acts as a tubulin polymerization inhibitor, binding at the colchicine site. This activity disrupts the Wnt/β-catenin and AKT pathways, conferring anti-vascular and anti-tumor properties, which have been investigated in both in vitro cytotoxicity assays and in vivo tumor model studies.
