DPNB-ABT 594 is a photoactivatable, caged derivative of the α4β2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist ABT-594. It can be efficiently photolyzed via one-photon (410 nm) or two-photon (710 nm) excitation to rapidly release the active compound, enabling precise spatiotemporal control for studying nAChR signaling in brain slice electrophysiology and calcium imaging experiments.
