Efrotomycin
Efrotomycin is an orally active antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces lactamdurans. Studies in a porcine infection model show it has minimal effect on Salmonella typhimurium load, shedding duration, rate, or antimicrobial susceptibility. This makes it a useful research tool for studying antibiotic-bacteria dynamics in vivo.
