Tebipenem pivoxil hydrochloride (L084) is an orally bioavailable carbapenem antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) . It is used in research to study its efficacy against multidrug-resistant pathogens in both in vitro susceptibility assays and in vivo infection models.
