Phenacaine
Phenacaine (Holocaine) is a local anesthetic that inhibits calmodulin-dependent erythrocyte Ca2+-ATPase activation and suppresses cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases in brain and heart tissues. This small molecule is used in biochemical research to study calcium signaling and cyclic nucleotide metabolism in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
