Porfimer Sodium
Porfimer sodium is an oligomeric porphyrin-based photosensitizer selectively accumulated in tumor cells. Upon activation with 630 nm light, it generates cytotoxic oxygen radicals and induces vascular occlusion, leading to tumor cell death. It is widely used in photodynamic therapy research for various cancers in both in vitro and in vivo models.
