(±) 16 (17) -EpDPA is a cytochrome P450-derived epoxide metabolite of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and a structural analog of the EDHF candidate (±) 14 (15) -EET. This small molecule is a research tool for investigating vascular biology, EDHF-mediated vasodilation, and the role of DHA epoxides in inflammation models, as suggested by prior in vivo studies.
