4-Chloro-L-phenylalanine
4-Chloro-L-phenylalanine (L-PCPA) is a non-specific inhibitor of tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH1/TPH2), the rate-limiting enzyme in serotonin biosynthesis. It is widely used in neuroscience research to deplete 5-HT levels for studying serotonergic function in both in vivo animal models and in vitro cellular assays.
