BDEO is a dual-action small molecule inhibitor of xanthine oxidase (IC50 = 3.3 μM) and URAT1 (Ki = 0.145 μM) . It reduces uric acid uptake in vitro and lowers serum urate in hyperuricemic mouse models, making it a useful research tool for studying hyperuricemia and gout-related pathways.
