Halichondrin B
Halichondrin B is a microtubule-targeting agent isolated from the marine sponge Halichondria okadai . It noncompetitively inhibits Vinca-alkaloid binding to tubulin, suppressing polymerization with an IC50 of 1.2-1.4 μM. This compound is utilized in cancer research, showing antitumor efficacy in both biochemical assays and in vivo preclinical models.
