Charantin
Charantin is a steroidal saponin isolated from Momordica charantia. It increases the release of insulin and slowing down gluconeogenesis. Charantin can inhibit GSK-3.Charantin is a 1:1 mixture of 25,26-Dehydro β-Sitosterol β-D-Glucoside and β-Sitosterol β-D-Glucoside. It is a potent hypoglycaemic agent found in hairy roots and bitter melon cultivars.
