Sodium Glucoheptonate Dihydrate

Sodium Glucoheptonate is used as a kit for radio-labeling with Tc-99m which is kidney- and brain-imaging agent, and can be used in brain-tumor detection. Sodium glucoheptonate is also used for cleaning metal, mercerizing, paint stripping, and aluminum etching. (In Vivo) :Tc-99m glucoheptonate exhibits rapid blood clearance and quite stable blood level especially in primary and metastatic lesions of the posterior fossa, the diagnostic yield was improved by the delayed glucoheptonate (GH) scans.
