Aphidicolin
Aphidicolin is a fungal-derived antibiotic that potently inhibits eukaryotic DNA polymerases α and δ, blocking DNA replication and herpes simplex virus proliferation. It is widely used in cell cycle synchronization studies in vitro and has been shown to enhance apoptosis in combination therapies in leukemia cell line research.
