FA16
FA16 is a selective and metabolically stable 2- (trifluoromethyl) benzimidazole derivative that potently induces ferroptosis by inhibiting system Xc- (IC50 = 1.26 μM) . It blocks cystine/glutamate exchange, leading to glutathione depletion and lipid peroxidation. This compound has demonstrated significant antitumor efficacy in a HepG2 xenograft model, supporting its use in researching ferroptosis-dependent cancer therapies.
