Litoxetine HCl is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and mixed 5-HT antagonist used in urinary incontinence research. In vitro studies demonstrate its concentration-dependent relaxation of rat oesophageal muscle and antiarrhythmic activity in guinea pig intestine, linked to its 5-HT releasing effects.
