Atorvastatin hemicalcium trihydrate
Atorvastatin Hemicalcium Trihydrate is an orally active lipid-lowering agent that potently inhibits HMG-CoA reductase. It also suppresses the proliferation and invasion of human vascular smooth muscle cells (SV-SMC) in vitro, with IC50 values of 0.39 μM and 2.39 μM, respectively. This compound is widely used in cardiovascular disease research, including studies on atherosclerosis and restenosis in both cellular and animal models.
