Dihydro-β-erythroidine (DHβE) is a potent and competitive antagonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. It is widely used in neuroscience research to block nicotine's behavioral effects, including its discriminative stimulus and anxiolytic properties, in both in vitro binding assays and in vivo animal models.
