BOLD-100 (NKP-1339/IT-139) is a ruthenium-based compound that disrupts ER homeostasis by inhibiting stress-induced GRP78 upregulation. This action triggers ER stress and the UPR, perturbing the crosstalk between ER stress, lysosomes, and autophagy. It is used in cancer research, demonstrating antitumor activity in both in vitro and in vivo models.
