Sp-5,6-DCl-cBIMPS is a specific and potent activator of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) . It is used in research to study cAMP/PKA signaling pathways, such as enhancing insulin secretion in pancreatic beta cells and inhibiting thromboxane A2-induced platelet activation involving Rho and Gq proteins.
