Kallikrein 5-IN-2 is a selective, potent KLK5 inhibitor (pIC50 = 7.1) with potential to ameliorate pathological skin desquamation. Its application in dermatological research includes investigating KLK5's role in inflammatory skin conditions, such as Netherton syndrome, through in vitro enzymatic assays and in vivo disease models.
